All of Scott's works are created primarily using pyrography, more commonly known as wood burning. Scott creates each image without the use of stencils, tracing or laser machine used in some wood burning art. The technique is closer to pen and ink or painting with heat than it is to the wood burning kit that you may have played with as a kid. The process is slow and tedious with much attention to detail and minimal chance to correct mistakes or imperfections. In some pieces, color is added using water color pencils before being sealed to prevent damage from elements or UV light. Each piece is original and unique with no prints or reproductions.
